This refurbished ELDAN Super Chopper SC1412 was recently supplied to KWS Tyre Recycling in Wigan

KWS had looked at the alternatives, but no other machine is able to match the Super Chopper and the back up that we are able to give them. This machine can process truck tyres including super singles without the need to de-bead. This machine was refurbished to a high standard and is like new!

The SC1412 has a 160Kw Electric motor with low speed and high torque that enables the machine to process the toughest of materials.

Interfloor recently took delivery of their New Eldan Heavy Granulator HG209, an integral part of their new production line for carpet underlay.

The HG209 has a 2-metre long rotor, 160Kw Electric motor, and is equipped with an optional hydraulic pusher system that can granulate cables, electronic waste, shredder light fraction and MSW.

As a valued user of Eldan equipment for many years, they have been very pleased with the support from MMH and ELDAN to invest in this new generation of granulators.

Mellor Metals can now be assured of having a reliable radiation detection system. We supplied them recently with a Rad Comm RC2069 weighbridge System which replaced an existing system.

The RC2069 system comes with total 69 litre detector panels which are configured with Rad Comm's high quality PVT scintillators, electronics and photomultiplier tubes. The RC2000 system provides a high level of detection capability for buried Gamma Ray sources in low to moderate material densities. The operation is completely automated providing specific alarm thresholds in real-time. It uses a user friendly interface for the operator to manage data and alarm records. It is also equipped with a network adaptor allowing remote monitoring, data retrieval and maintenance functions.

Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI) are recommissioning the blast furnace at their Redcar plant. As part of this process, they have built a new scrap bay area that will mainly be fed by scrap coming in by rail.

To protect against radioactive sources entering the steel plant, MMH has supplied a Rad Comm 138 litre enhanced railway radiation detection system with full network capability. The detection system utilises advanced technology and is extremely sensitive to low level radiation emissions from moving rail cargo, regardless of the severe changes in background caused by varying scrap and waste densities.
